Dear Parishioners,                                                                                                                        

I want to personally thank all who are so generously supporting our Capital Fund Drive which is allowing us to make so many necessary repairs and improvements to our parish property.  At the beginning of the Campaign we decided to include the money we would have raised from our monthly maintenance envelope in to our total goal.  However, due to the fact that we have been confronted with some significant and unforeseen expenses and repairs, we have depleted these monies allocated for ongoing maintenance.  These unexpected repairs include needing to repair our Church parking lot (from excessive damage sustained last winter), the installation of a new commercial grade sump pump in the Church boiler room (the existing one stopped working and we must protect our new Church furnace), and the rectory phone system had failed (because of its age replacement parts were no longer available).  Together these expenses exceeded an amount of twenty thousand dollars.  This means, in order to keep up with ongoing repairs and maintenance items, it is necessary to re-instate the monthly maintenance envelope.  We have come so far, and have made so many repairs and wonderful improvements, it would be absurd to drop the ball now and let things fall apart.  So, I am asking for your understanding and cooperation by once again supporting our monthly maintenance collection.  Please know that all other projects included in the Capital Fund Drive are on schedule and will be completed with your continued support of the Drive.  One of the biggest items of the Campaign is the replacement of the entire roof of the Church.  We are expecting to do this project in the late spring of next year (2015).  I believe that Our Lady of the Rosary Parish is one of the nicest looking Churches both inside and out, as well as one of the nicest maintained Parish Centers and parish property of all the parishes in our Diocese.  This can only be attributed to your generosity and your love, care and dedication to our Parish.
