Parish News

PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE NOW INSTALLED 4 AUTOMATIC HAND SANITIZER MACHINES IN OUR CHURCH AND 2 UNITS IN OUR PARISH CENTER.  THE COST OF THIS WAS ABOUT $750 (6 MACHINES AND THE SANITIZER LIQUID).  WE THINK THIS WAS NECESSARY AND IMPORTANT IN LIGHT OF THE VIRUS SITUATION AND THIS SHOULD ALSO HELP PARISHIONERS FEEL MORE SAFE ABOUT COMING TO CHURCH.

We are happy to announce that we have reopened and we are resuming our regular weekday and weekend Mass schedule.

The following requirements must be observed:

DO NOT COME TO CHURCH IF YOU ARE SICK.

YOU MUST HAVE AND WEAR A MASK DURING THE MASS-NO EXCEPTIONS!

THE PEWS ARE CLEARLY MARKED.  PARISHIONERS MAY ONLY SIT IN PEWS THAT HAVE SIGNS ON THEM.

THE MONTHLY GROUP ANOINTING OF THE SICK AFTER THE FIRST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH IS NOW CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.  THE SACRAMENT OF THE SICK, HOWEVER, IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE AT ANYTIME FOR ANYONE IN DANGER OF DEATH.

SOCIAL DISTANCING IS NECESSARY AND EXPECTED.

WE HAVE ALSO INSTALLED AUTOMATIC HOLY WATER DISPENSERS IN THE CHURCH TO REPLACE THE PRACTICE OF DIPPING YOUR HAND IN THE HOLY WATER BOWL AS A LITTLE PROFESSION OF FAITH UPON ENTERING AND LEAVING THE CHURCH.  THE HOLY WATER BOWLS ARE NOT SAFE AND NO LONGER ALLOWED.  IN ADDITION, THERE IS ALWAYS A HOLY WATER TANK AVAILABLE TO REFILL ANY SMALL HOLY WATER BOTTLES YOU MAY HAVE.

TV MASSES WILL END ON SPECTRUM CH. 193: THE DAILY AND SUNDAY TV MASSES, FAMILY ROSARY AND OTHER PROGRAMS PRODUCED BY THE DIOCESE WILL NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE ON CHARTER/SPECTRUM CHANNEL 193 AFTER OCTOBER 23.  IF YOU WATCH ON THE INTERNET, WORCESTERDIOCESE.ORG, NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

********************************************************************************************************************************************

RULES FOR MISSALETTES: IF YOU TAKE A MISSALETTE IT BECOMES YOUR PERSONAL COPY TO USE AT CHURCH, BRING HOME, AND BRING BACK THE NEXT TIME YOU COME TO MASS.  WE SUGGUST THAT YOU LEAVE IT IN YOUR CAR SO THAT YOU DON'T FORGET IT AT HOME.  PLEASE ONLY TAKE ONE MISSALETTE PER PERSON.  THE MISSALETTE THAT YOU USE IS NOT TO BE LEFT IN THE PEW OR ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE CHURCH, BUT MUST BE TAKEN HOME UNDER THE COVID-19 MANDATE.  YOUR COOPERATION IS APPRECIATED.

*********************************************************************************************************************************************

COVID-19 RULES FOR HAVING BULLETINS:

*DO NOT LEAVE BULLETINS IN THE PEWS

*DO NOT RETURN BULLETINS TO THE RACK

*IF YOU TAKE A BULLETIN IT IS REQUIRED THAT YOU TAKE IT HOME WITH YOU

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION

EVEN IN THIS HEALTH CRISIS TIME, THE BILLS DO NOT STOP NEEDING TO BE PAID!  SO YOUR ARE ASKED TO PLEASE SEND IN YOUR PARISH SUPPORT ENVELOPES.

WE ARE RUNNING ON A VERY TIGHT BUDGET.  WE NEED YOUR DEDICATED WEEKLY SUPPORT OF THIS PARISH OR WE COULD VERY EASILY RUN INTO "THE RED."  PLEASE DO NOT THINK THAT YOUR WEEKLY PARISH SUPPORT WILL NOT BE MISSED - NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH.  YOUR WEEKLY PARISH FINANCIAL SUPPORT IS SO VERY MUCH NEEDED AND APPRECIATED.

THE CARPETS INSIDE THE CHURCH HAVE BEEN STEAM CLEANED AND SANITIZED.  THEY ARE VACUUMED EACH WEEK, BUT HAVE NOT BEEN PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED. SO, THIS SHOULD BE GOOD FOR THE RUGS AND ALSO HELP PARISHIONERS FEEL MORE AT EASE WHEN THEY RETURN TO THE CHURCH.
