Legacy of Hope Campaign 2021

"LEGACY OF HOPE"  We are in a challenging time for Our Lady of the Rosary Parish and the Diocese of Worcester.  Seeking a positive future for our diocese and its many parishes, Bishop McManus, in collaboration with diocesan leaders and pastors, has embarked on "Legacy of Hope"  This is a historic Campaign to raise the necessary funds to continue to provide essential ministry, charity, services, and education on both the parish and diocesan levels.  The name of this campaign is "LEGACY OF HOPE."

We hope that everyone has received the Legacy of Hope packet in the mail.  Please take the time to carefully read and prayerfully reflect upon the material included in this packet.  If at all possible,  please watch the brief video presentation on the internet at: legacyofhope.worcesterdiocese.org to learn about this historic campaign and the ministries and programs it will support as an introduction for your personal participation in our "LEGACY OF HOPE."

It is important to note that 60% of the money collected will be used for the services and projects listed in the diocesan pamphlet and 40% of the money collected in each parish will be returned to that parish for the projects and services listed in their pamphlet.  You are also invited to attend an informative presentation.  After learning about our "LEGACY OF HOPE," you will see that we need to raise a very substantial amount of money.   Please help by making a personal sacrificial gift.  You may choose to make a generous one time gift, or be extra generous by pledging your gift over a two, three, or even four year period.  The future of the Diocese of Worcester and its many parishes, like our Lady of the Rosary, rests in the hands, good will, and commitment of its members like you.

PARISH WISH LIST: We will now have an ongoing Parish Wish List that we will publish in the bulletin.  These are things that would be a nice addition to have when we get the funds.  The first items are as follows:

LITURGY: A new set of 4 vestments (chausables) to be used at the altar.  The cost for the entire set is $650.00.  With the generostiy of our parishioners we now have the vestments.  If we receive any additional money it will be used to purchase the 5th vestment to complete the set.

YOUTH: In the very near future, we will be starting up our Youth Drop-In Activity program.  It is a good thing for kids to enjoy, having fun with their friends, sponsored by the Church.  We have purchased 2 new arcade games for our Drop-In Activity program.  The cost of each of the games is $300.00.  So far we have received $100.00 to help with this purchase.

We will keep you informed as to how much has been raised for each of our Wish List items.                                                                                                                                                              The money raised from the Legacy of Hope has all been designated for specific items.  Our Wish List will come from new donations from the generosity of our parishioners.  If you did not contribute to the Legacy of Hope, perhaps you may consider a donation toward something on our parish Wish List..Thank you!
